There is a shocked hush over the crowd in the Royale Theater tonight, for the headline magician,
Sebastain the Great Vexando, has been found murdered in his dressing room, slain by his own trick.
Chained up in shackles below the glowing eyes of Anubis, a magical knife has been plunged into his chest,
seemingly stabbed by Anubis himself.
His assistant was found trapped in the theater’s secret room, the door pinned shut by a jeweled dagger and her eyes hidden behind a velvet curtain.
His wife has vanished without a trace. His longtime rival has fled the city.
And his entire fortune has disappeared, the safe in his office open and empty.
With the theater in chaos and suspicion everywhere, your team has been summoned to examine the
late magician’s most guarded possessions: a collection of intricate puzzle boxes said to hide all the secrets behind his greatest
illusions.
